Healthy Turkey Burgers

If you're looking for a yummy and healthy burger alternative I recommend these turkey burgers!! Inspired by a local restaurant my hubby has made his own version which I now prefer over the restaurants!!

Ingredients: Makes 5-6 patties 
  • 1 package extra lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 jar pickled jalapeƱos  
  • 1/2 onion  
  • 2 egg whites 
  • Seasoning to taste (Pepper/Mrs. Dash) 
  • 35 calorie thin sliced cheddar cheese (optional)

Calories per patty w/out cheese: 160 
Calories per patty with cheese:   195 

Directions:
Dice onion and pickled jalapeƱos.  Mix all ingredients together and make into patties. BBQ turkey burgers until completely cooked (approx. 5-6 minutes a side on medium/high heat).

We eat ours protein style, but you could prepair as desired (bun, cheese, tomatoe,  etc..)
