My 3 go to party foods!

Here are my three go to party dishes:
 Fruit Salsa, Marshmallow Dip, and Jalapeno Poppers!!  

These are easy to make and crowd pleasing!

FRUIT SALSA (This recipe is from pampered chef)
What you need:

  • 16oz of diced strawberries 
  • 8oz of diced raspberries
  • 2 green apples peeled and diced
  • 2 kiwis diced
  • 1-2 Tbsp of sugar
  • 2-3 Tbsp of brown sugar
  • 2-3 Tbsp of preserves (I usually use raspberry)
Combine all diced fruit, brown sugar, sugar, and preserves.  Mix together.  Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight for best flavor).  You can buy the cinnamon sugar pita chips at the store or you can make your own! You can also use cinnamon sugar graham crackers too!!



MARSHMALLOW DIP:

Ingredients:
  • 8oz soft cream cheese
  • 7oz jet puff (marshmallow fluff)
  • An assortment of fruit (apples, pineapple, kiwi, bananas, strawberries, etc…)
Mix the cream cheese and marshmallow fluff together, Slice fruit and serve!  This fruit dip is so good and addicting! You can also use reduced fat cream cheese to make it a little healthier!

JALAPENO POPPERS

What you need:
  • 12 JalapeƱos halved and seeds removed (if you like hot you can leave some seeds in)
  • 1 Box Puff Pasty thawed (use both sheets)
  •  8 oz cream cheese
  •  1/2 cup bacon pieces
  •  1 cup shredded cheese (we like pepper jack but you can use any)
  •  2 tbsp minced garlic or 4 cloves
  •  1 egg 
  •  3 tbsp water
Preheat oven to 400.  Mix cream cheese, bacon pieces, shredded cheese, and garlic. Spoon mixture into jalapeƱos. Cut puff pastry Into 3x3 inch squares and wrap the filled jalapeno in pastry. Beat egg with water and brush over each  popper. I like to add a little cheese on top too but it's not necessary.  Bake on baking sheet for 20minutes or until golden brown.
