Cilantro Avocado Hummus

I love me some hummus! Its so good paired with veggies and pretzels, well actually... hummus is great with anything! My friend gave me a hummus recipe and I changed it on accident, but we ended up liking it more!!  Perfect for your labor day weekend bbq, don't you agree?
  • Food processor
  • 1 can chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans) drained (I leave a little juice in the can)
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 jalapeno deseeded
  • 3-4 garlic cloves (you can add more or less depending on how much you like garlic)
  • 1/2tbsp olive oil
  • 8 Stems of cilantro (you can add more or less)
  • 1tbsp Tajin (This is what I used instead of Tajini on accident and both my friend and I decided it was better with this instead)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt to taste

Put all of your ingredients in food processor and blend until creamy. If hummus is thick you can add a little more olive oil. Serve with fresh veggies and pretzels or pita chips!

Have a safe and fabulous Labor Day Weekend!!!

Xx,
Kelly

  1. Love this! We just made a super similar one too. I didn't have avocado so I made it with pesto. Hummus is so fun to customize!
