My little man is in pre-k and he wanted to make something special for his teachers; he has 3 teachers (including his PE teacher). We decided to make each of them a dum dum bouquet and include a little treat from starbucks!
What you need:
- Dum dum suckers
- 2 styrofoam balls
- Candy hearts
- 1 semi big/strong stick. ( I got mine in the baking section of hobby lobby)
- flowers or arrows to decorate vase and glue gun (optional)
This was super easy and fun to do with the kiddos. For me there was no rhyme or reason when putting the suckers in the ball. Take your dum dum suckers and stick them into one of the styrofoam balls until no white is remaining (I had to break most of the sucker sticks so they weren't poking each other). Next place one of the balls into the vase and add the stick to the top center. Connect the top of the stick to the bottom of your dum dum bloom to form the flower stem (make sure you stick it in far enough that it can hold up the bloom)! I glued on a few flowers and arrows to the vase to add a little something to it! I also found this sweet free printable Valentine Label that I printed off to add to the packaging.
I just love how they turned out, and Gauge can hardly wait another week to give them to his teachers!
